Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles worldwide in the third quarter of 2026, according to the company’s production and delivery report. That beat the average analyst estimate of 461,974 vehicles, compiled from 24 financial institutions, by about 5.3%, per Not a Tesla App.
How the numbers break down
Tesla produced 464,391 vehicles during the quarter. Model 3 and Model Y accounted for 478,237 of the deliveries, with the remaining 8,295 split among Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck, according to Drive Tesla Canada‘s breakdown of the report. Tesla also deployed 13.7 GWh of energy storage products, Powerwall and Megapack combined, during the quarter, short of the roughly 15.9 GWh analysts had projected.
Up from last quarter, down from last year
Deliveries rose about 1.3% from Q2 2026’s 480,126 vehicles. They came in 2.1% below Q3 2025’s 497,099 deliveries, a record at the time driven in part by buyers rushing to close purchases before the federal EV tax credit expired on September 30, 2025.
What’s next
Tesla will report its full third-quarter financial results after market close on October 21, 2026, with a live Q&A session at 4:30 p.m. Central time, the company said in its delivery report. That report will cover revenue, margins, and guidance, figures the delivery count alone doesn’t capture.
