Tesla is rolling out FSD (Supervised) v14.3 Lite to older, Intel-powered Model S and Model X cars for the first time, according to Not a Tesla App on October 14, 2026. It arrives with software update 2026.38.5.1. Tesla’s Super Intelligence account on X announced the rollout.
What this version is
FSD v14 Lite is a slimmed-down version of the main FSD v14 software, built to run on the older, memory-limited computer in HW3 cars. The release notes say Tesla “distilled the intelligence from HW4 V14 into HW3.” Tesla lists improvements to merges, pedestrians, traffic lights and cut-ins, plus fewer false slowdowns and smoother steering.
What older Model S and Model X owners get
Per the same report, the Intel Model S and Model X version includes Speed Profiles and an FSD streak counter that tracks how far you have driven without an intervention. It does not include Arrival Options, starting FSD from Park, or reversing on FSD. Those features are available on Intel-powered HW3 Model 3 and Model Y cars running v14.3 Lite. Smart Summon is not included either.
Halloween Mode comes with this update for some cars, but it is not supported on Intel vehicles at all, so these owners will not see it.
How the rollout went
The report says v14 Lite first went to Model 3 and Model Y earlier this summer. Tesla confirmed Model S and Model X support in early September, and AMD-powered Model S and Model X cars started getting it later that month. Intel cars are the latest group. As with most Tesla updates, it is arriving in waves, so your car may not have it yet.
What it means for you
The report describes v14 Lite as the last major FSD branch for HW3. Tesla has said HW3 will not support unsupervised FSD or the upcoming FSD v15, and has promised hardware upgrades with newer chips for owners who bought FSD. Until then, v14.3 Lite is the newest FSD software these cars can get. Future point releases could add the missing parking features.
FSD (Supervised) requires you to pay attention and be ready to take over at all times. Check Settings > Software on your car to see which version it has.
