Tesla’s Cybertruck Off-Road Light Bar — the roof-mounted light bar that was previously bundled only with Foundation Series Cyberbeast orders — is now available to any Cybertruck owner in North America.
What it costs and how it installs
The light bar is priced at $1,950 in the US ($2,700 in Canada), ordered through the Tesla Shop or mobile app. It isn’t a DIY install: the hardware mounts to the roof near the windshield and draws power from Cybertruck’s 48V auxiliary system, and the purchase includes shipping plus professional installation at a service center. Once it’s on, settings are controlled from the touchscreen.
The off-road-only fine print
Tesla ships the unit with a protective blackout film over the electronics and says it doesn’t recommend removing it — technicians at the service center won’t do that part of the job. By design, only the owner (or a third party) can complete the final harness connection that activates the light bar, which keeps it positioned as an off-road accessory rather than something Tesla configures for street use out of the box. The current version also uses bolted brackets and VHB tape rather than the original adhesive mounting, a design change that followed an earlier recall over adhesive failures.
