Tesla’s Cybercab is heading to Europe for the first time, at the Paris Motor Show.

Tesla will show its Cybercab robotaxi in Europe for the first time next week, at the Mondial de l’Auto, the Paris Motor Show. The event’s official site confirms Tesla’s participation in the show’s 91st edition, running October 12 through 18, 2026, with a presence in Hall 7.1 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

According to a Bloomberg report published October 8, show director Serge Gachot said the Cybercab’s appearance marks its first showing on European soil. Cybercab is Tesla’s two-seat robotaxi, built without a steering wheel or foot pedals, meant to run as part of an autonomous ride-hailing service rather than be driven by an owner. Visitors at the Paris show will not be able to ride in it, unlike the paid public rides Tesla already offers in its Cybercab fleet in Austin, Texas.

What else is on Tesla’s stand

Alongside the Cybercab, Drive Tesla Canada reports that Tesla’s booth will include a Model 3, a Model Y, the second-generation Optimus humanoid robot, Tesla Energy products, and a Supercharger. The outlet says the Cybercab on display comes from Tesla’s operating robotaxi fleet in the United States rather than a static show car. Tesla will also offer free test drives throughout the week in six other Tesla vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving (Supervised), the company’s driver-assistance system that still requires a person behind the wheel ready to take over.

Full Self-Driving still isn’t approved EU-wide

The test drives come as Tesla continues working toward broader approval for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) across the European Union (EU), the 27-country bloc whose member states share common vehicle rules. According to reporting from Electrive on September 28, the EU’s Technical Committee on Motor Vehicles only discussed the Netherlands’ approval of the system on its October 6 agenda, without a vote, and the committee is not scheduled to meet again until December. In the meantime, Tesla has been relying on a provisional approval granted by the Dutch vehicle authority to sell Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in a handful of individual EU countries.

Tesla has not announced any plan to operate Cybercab robotaxi rides in France or elsewhere in Europe. Drive Tesla Canada’s report notes that when a German owner asked Elon Musk about Cybercab reaching Europe, Musk replied only, “Hopefully soon in Europe too,” without giving a timeline.

What this means for owners

For Tesla owners and shoppers in the US, the Paris appearance does not change anything about buying or using a Tesla today. It is a marketing and lobbying moment for Tesla in a market where its robotaxi plans are further behind than in the US, and where regulators, not Tesla, still control when and how Full Self-Driving (Supervised) can be sold and used. Anyone following Tesla’s push into robotaxis should treat the Paris display as a preview, not a launch: no ride-hailing service, pricing, or date has been announced for Cybercab anywhere in Europe.
